Current Business Position
David Webby Podiatry P/L has been owned and run
by David Webby and Julie Overmyer for the last 9 years.
The Southport Podiatry practice was originally
started by Sister Ford in 1967. The practice was bought by John
Lawson in 1979, and then sold to Stephen Cardinal in 1983. Stephen
moved the practice from the ‘Gold Arcade’ in Railway
St, (now renamed as Rose Arcade), to 2/117 Scarborough St in
1995.
In late 1999 David and Julie, who bought the
business earlier in the year, renovated and moved the clinic
to 42B Davenport St. They then got permission from council in
2002 to renovate and establish the Podiatry practice on the
ground story of their house in 17 Railway St. The business was
moved finally on the 17th of Oct 2003, after achieving all fire
rating and council conditions.
Initially Julie worked as receptionist but has
slowly reduced her hours.
